Last updated: April 17, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Pagegrain ("we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, and handles your information when you use the Pagegrain mobile application ("App").

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address for authentication purposes.

When you import a Kindle clippings file (My Clippings.txt), we receive and store the highlights and notes you have made in your Kindle books, including book titles, author names, and the text of each clipping.

1.3 Usage Data

We do not collect analytics, crash reports, or behavioral tracking data beyond what is strictly necessary to operate the service.

1.4 Subscription Information

Purchases are processed by Apple (App Store). We receive a record of your subscription status (active/inactive) but do not receive or store your payment card details.

3. Third-Party Services

3.1 Supabase

Your account data and Kindle highlights are stored in databases hosted by Supabase (Supabase Inc., USA). Supabase acts as a data processor on our behalf. Data may be stored on servers in the United States or other regions operated by Supabase's cloud infrastructure providers. For more information, see Supabase's Privacy Policy.

3.2 DeepSeek AI

To improve the quality of your imported highlights (correcting OCR errors, extra spaces, and line breaks), your highlight text is transmitted to DeepSeek for processing. 5. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at danteandroi@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days.

EU/EEA residents: You have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The legal basis for processing your data is the performance of a contract and, for AI cleaning, your implicit consent by using the import feature.

California residents: Under the CCPA, you have the right to know, delete, and opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.

6. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (TLS) and access controls. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

8. International Data Transfers

Your data may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own, including the United States and China (for AI processing). We take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this document. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
